Also known as 'SAMERU', which is a pun on his surname and first name (muraSAME RUi); coincidentally, it also means to "cool down", which reflects his personality. Otherwise, most people address him as RUI or by his surname, MURASAME.

SCARS,
Rui has three, vertial cuts that runs down on the right side of his face, each cut parallel to one another, with perfect spacing in-between. This cut was caused by a glaive weapon by a missing nin in a past mission. The scars have tampered with his brow line, hence the areas of his right brow that are affected, are cut off as well, disabling the growth of a proper brow.
PIERCINGS/TATTOOS,
Rui has multiple tattoos; the most noticeable one is the blocky, stenciled '69' printed upon his left cheek. It was branded upon his cheek since he was a young teenager, as a personal victory of sorts. His second tattoo consists of a blue band running across his face, crossing over the bridge of his nose, stemming from the left side of his cheek. This was gained after he became a jounin. The third and fourth tattoos are black circlets that are imprinted around both of his upper arms.
