SCARS,
Genza has a significant scar on the palm of his right hand. This is a result of continous use of his "Singing Blade" technique, although people cannot tell that at first sight. Other than that, he has none.
PIERCINGS/TATTOOS,
Genza has no piercings, obviously, as he dislikes the things and finds them a waste of one's body. He does have one long, thin, black tattoo however, running from his right elbow to his right hand. It has no partical shape and is best described as a plain tribal. One might find it strange that someone who dislikes piercings such as Genza does, has a tattoo like that printed on his body. Obviously, he has the image for tactical purposes only.
ATTIRE,
Genza walks around in a simple pair of jeans and a long-sleeved, beige shirt. Aside from the pouch strapped around his pants at his right thigh, both pieces of clothing are somewhat plain and have no symbols on them whatsoever. On his head, Genza wears a tight, gray cap with his Iwagakure forehead protector sown onto it. underneath this, around his neck, he wears a gray scarf with brown stripes to hide his face a little. Unlike the picture at the top of this thread shows, Genzas right eye is covered by a scouting device (picture Deidara when thinking about this tool). As for Genzas hands and feet, he simply wears a pair of black sandals around his feet to move around with. Both his hands are wrapped in bandages to prevent blisters while forming handseals at great speed, which he does often as a Ninjutsu and Genjutsu user.
PERSONALITY,
Genza is often described as a nosy, pushy person. Being born to the Gansit family, a reasonably rich family in Iwagakure, he was raised with exceptional manners and ideas of "proper behavour". He is always calm and never seen saying or doing anything which could be considered rude. In addition however, he tries to stress this behavour to those around him, hoping his civilization will rub off on them.
Genza preforms well as an all-round ninja, though normally focusses on scouting and gathering intel. His abilities, speed, and calm state of mind make him excellent for low-profile missions such as that. What hampers him in his ninja way however is his perfectionism. Genza is hellbent on perfectly finishing everything he starts and figures failing does not fit in the "proper image" he has of himself. For him, there is no such thing as a tactical withdraw. Faillure will not be tollerated.
LIKES,
~Succes, all kinds.
~Sweet, as in sweet flavour. He is therefor only seen eating sweet food or candy and rarely spotted eating, for an example, bitter food.
~Skills. Genza sees collecting skills and techniques as some sort of game. He finds it fun to learn as many as he can, even if he knows he wont use them.
~Chakra. All in line with his speciality, sensing chakra (Genza is a sensor), he is greatly interested in the chakra system, how it works, and how it can be utilized.
~Cooking. Despite the fact it could be considered somewhat femine, Genza likes to cook and learn new recipes (note that he figures the ability to make a recipe counts as a skill). Though his knowledge of food is quite wide, he, ofcourse, only makes himself sweet food.
~Manners. He likes the idea of being civilized and will push this to others as well.
DISLIKES,
~Sour and bitter. Genza loves sweet, and can cope with salt, but greatly dislikes sour and bitter tasting food.
~Rude behavour, especialy amongs his allies.
~Taijutsu, mainly because he himself never manages to become any good at it.
~Failing at something. Genza never comes to terms with the fact there simply are things he cannot do.
~Impulses and bad organization. Genza pushes everyone to make things go according to plan and never go in to impulses.
STRENGTHS,
~Excellent at scouting and keeping track of his opponent(s).
~Great at hiding and stealth mission, such as spying or surprise attacks.
~Due to his Genjutsu and Ninjutsu skills, preforms well in teams and combos.
~Genza is a perfectionist, which often aids him in succesfully completing missions. He tends not to give up untill the results are to his likings.
~Loyal to his cause. He does not betray his allies nor go back on his words. He values honor to much for that.
WEAKNESSES,
~Physically quite weak for a ninja. Genza relies either on defensive Ninjutsu or cover from his allies to survive when his trickery fails.
~His perfectionism makes him hard to cooperate with for certain people. This can be a serious issue, as Genza preforms much better with a team.
~His direct offensive abilities are limited.
~Genza tends to be stubborn and hard to convince in an argument, even if others are right. He would fight for a lost cause out of honor just because he refuses to give up.
~He tends not to accept people untill he knowns them better. When put into a new team, for an example, he refuses to acknowledge an other person as captain untill he has seen that persons potential.

HISTORY,
Genza had the luck of being born to the Gansit family, a wealthy family from the upperclass of Iwagakure. Despite the fact the family is in the ceramics business, young Genza quickly showed ambitions towards the work of the shinobi and claimed he wanted to become one as well as soon as he could speak. Since there was plenty of time and money, his parents made him attend to the academy.
Genza learned the basics of being a ninja. As he did so, he became more and more facinated with the job and more eager to become a proper ninja. Especially everything that involved chakra received his greatest attention, as the mystical energy amazed him. It was thus no surprise that he graduated with top-notch grades for Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. Unlike most other students, he was even capable of preforming very basic Genjutsu upon graduating. Seeing this, people developed high hopes for the youngster.
The high hopes, unfortunately, did not turn out realistic. Indeed, the fresh Genin showed capable of preforming higher level Ninjutsu and Genjutsu than his peers, but showed to weak to be any good on his own. Without the cover of his Genin squad, Genza was quite hopeless. Nonetheless, he became one of the more appreciated Genin around and started to work on a chakra control beyond those of others. Genza developed obvious pro's and con's, which made him function excellent in the squad he was in.
The Chuunin Exams were a problem. The written and team test were quite easy to complete, ofcourse, but Genza was on his own for the finals. With no cover nor the opportunity for a planned ambush, he was stricken down during his first fight. Fortunately, the council was still impressed enough by his skills at what he did to make him a Chuunin. He may not be Chuunin levelled at some things he did, but was certainly worthy of being a Chuunin when used the proper way. In their eyes, the boy had potential.
Ever since Genza became a Chuunin, things only got better. He got experience and was taught various techniques and skills, things he eventually became set on collecting. Valued for his skills at Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, often invited for his skills at sensing chakra alone, Genza built himself a name inside the community of Iwagakure. By the time he was 19, nothing was said to be in his way of becoming a Jounin but his lack of defense and stamina. By the time he was 24, he had finally cranked these up enough to actually make that promotion.
Still having those same weak spots these days, Genza makes an excellent Jounin. It was no surprise that he, with his abilities, was one of the first Jounin to be sent into the Fire Country to check things out. These days, Genza still resides in the Fire Country and travels from campsite to campsite for various reasons. Only now and then does he travel back to Iwagakure, either for a rest or to report back to the Tsuchikage.

FIGHTING STYLE,
Genza rarely acts alone. He tends to work in teams and, as he keeps track of the enemies and seeks to disable them with Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, tries to make an opening for his allies to deliver the killing blow. During all this, he often enjoys protection from his allies, as this too is something he is bad at. Genza has an obvious field of specialization and preforms bad at most other things. Should he be caught alone however, will he use mid to long range Genjutsu and Ninjutsu to fend off and wound the attackers.
When working alone, Genzas missions is usually gathering intel on the enemies. He has 2 basic methods, one for smaller bases and one for large forces. When dealing with single enemies or small groups, Genza uses his scouting device while using his exceptional sense for chakra to locate enemies and determine their strengths. When dealing with larger groups, the chance there is an other sensor or someone else with chakra locating methods is present is to high to simply wander around. Instead, Genza disables and hides his own chakra while using only his scouter to gather intel on the enemy, making him very hard to locate for enemies.
